About the Workshop:

IIM Ahmedabad in partnership with S K Somaiya College of Arts, Science & Commerce announces it ‘Research Workshop Series’ in Mumbai. The workshop series is planned to build research competency in management students and faculty studying in colleges in and around Mumbai.The first workshop will be held on November 24-25, 2017 at S. K. Somaiya College of Arts, Science and Commerce Vidyavihar, Mumbai. The workshop’s aim is to provide research scholars and management faculty an opportunity to learn aspects of crafting and conducting high quality research.

Focus area of the Present Workshop:

The present workshop is the first of this Workshop Series and will focus on the following topics: High-impact research writing and developing strong research proposals.

Highlights:

• Exposure to tips for crafting and conducting high quality research.
• The facilitator will share guidelines and tips to keep in mind when developing the different sections of a good manuscript (such as ‘Introduction’, ‘Literature Review and Hypotheses’, ‘Methods’, ‘Results’, ‘Discussion’, and ‘Conclusion’ sections).
• Opportunity to seek specific inputs on your work from faculty from IIM Ahmedabad.
• Interested participants who would like to discuss their research writing/presentation with workshop faculty and seek their advice can submit their paper clearly mentioning the following sections: Introduction, Literature review and study hypotheses, Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion.
