The Department undertakes to explore interfaces between individuals and the environment. It imparts knowledge on a wide range of topics including ecology ,sustainability, pollution, conservation, climate change and environmental policy.
The goal is to develop an attitude of concern for the environment among students thus striving to attain harmony with Nature.
Efforts are made to ;
- Appreciate the ethical, cross-cultural, and historical context of environmental issues and the links between human and natural systems.
- Understand the transnational character of environmental problems and ways of addressing them.
- Reflect critically about the roles and identities as citizens, consumers and environmental performers in a complex, interconnected world.
