Companies Visited REPORTS The Placement Cell at SK Somaiya College of Arts, Science and Commerce plays a vital role in bridging the gap between academics and industry. Initially started as the Internship Cell, it has now evolved into a dynamic, student-led platform serving learners across all disciplines. Our core mission is to empower students to discover their ideal career paths while helping companies connect with exceptional talent. We offer a variety of services including skill-enhancing training programs, personalized career guidance, and curated internship and placement opportunities.
By fostering a collaborative ecosystem, we aim to prepare students with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market. Our initiatives are designed to ensure a seamless transition from classroom to corporate life. Committed to innovation, growth, and excellence, the Placement Cell supports students through every step of their career journey—from internships to full-time roles—creating lasting value for both students and recruiters.
The Placement Cell of SK Somaiya College of Arts, Science & Commerce hosts its premier annual event—Career Fest—dedicated exclusively to its students. This two-day recruitment event attracts a wide range of companies, from startups to established firms, offering diverse job opportunities. Career Fest acts as a bridge between student talent and industry needs, highlighting the passion and potential of our students. In 2022–2023, the event saw 123 participants, with 67 on-the-spot placements. Each year, the Cell enhances the event’s impact, aiming to provide students with a meaningful start to their professional journey through successful industry engagement.
