Women Development Cell

A Women Development Cell (WDC) typically operates with a vision and mission centered around gender equality, women empowerment, and creating a safe and inclusive environment for women in educational institutions, workplaces, and communities.

To create a society where women are empowered, equal, and free from all forms of discrimination and violence, enabling them to reach their full potential and contribute actively to social, economic, and cultural development.

"International Women's Day" is observed annually with the goal of showing our love, respect, gratitude, and concern for all women.

Our College has installed a Sakhi Box (a confidential complaint or suggestion box often placed in educational institutions for women to report harassment or share grievances anonymously) in our college premises, while ensuring it avoids direct CCTV coverage near the women’s restroom,. A small, clear sign above the box to explain its purpose, such as “For Confidential Complaints Only.”

Conducting awareness sessions to inform students about the box and its intended use.Only designated members of the ICC or WDC will have access to the key. The box will be checked regularly (e.g., weekly or bi-weekly) to ensure timely action on complaints.

To promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for female students and staff, This initiative aligns with the directives of the UGC and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) ACT guidelines, Ensuring that women can anonymously voice their concerns, grievances, or suggestions without fear of exposure or retaliation.
